Meet Our Founder - Sharalyn Green
My name is Shar, and I'm the proud owner of Everlinx. I'd like to share my journey with you and give you some insight into how it all began. After speaking with many of you, I'm sure we can all relate in some way, and I hope you all feel welcome here.
Before starting my own business in permanent jewelry, I was working as an esthetician while also being a full-time mother to my two young children. I did lashes whenever I could- early in the morning before my husband left for work, during his lunch break, and in the evening as soon as he arrived home. I took clients as late as possible just to make ends meet. I was exhausted and knew I needed to make a change. I had never given my children or my marriage the attention they deserved because I was so focused on providing for our family.
Then came permanent jewelry- something I immediately fell in love with. I spent countless hours researching, testing, and trying to figuring out how to make it work. There was no training available, no website that talked about it, and no one to turn to. It was a brand new idea in the jewelry world.
I finally landed on a few products I wanted to try, but I did not have the means to purchase them. My husband and I discussed how to make it work, whether the investment could be worth it, and what we would do if it failed. I was terrified to start, but with my husband's support, I took the leap. Starting up was one of the hardest things I had ever done, but once I fully committed, it quickly became the best decision I had ever made for my family and me.
What I've learned from starting Everlinx is that we all have to start somewhere, and I'm so happy I took that first step. I practiced so much, went through so many trials and errors, and finally, I had my first "party" booking. I was excited, but also terrified.
What if it didn't work? What if the jewelry wasn't high quality? Would they even like having "permanent" jewelry? These questions kept running through my head.
They had all come to the salon where I did lashes, and in an hour and a half, I made $800. I called my husband on the way home, crying with joy. I couldn't believe what I had accomplished- and even better, they loved their "permanent" jewelry!
From that moment on, everything started to fall into place. More people began asking me how I got started, and I realized I wanted to create this opportunity and provide an easy, seamless start for others.
Whether you've already taken the leap into starting your own permanent jewelry business or you’re still on the fence, my biggest advice is to just do it. And when you do it, go all in! Don't doubt yourself, don't worry about what others will say, just go for it! And know that I'll be your biggest cheerleader along the way!
I'm grateful for this incredible community we're building together. Hearing how this industry has changed your life—financially, socially, and mentally—makes it all worthwhile.
As a tribute to facing your fears and chasing your dreams, I challenge you to uplift and encourage someone today! Thank you for being here!
